Guided tours of
the Porter's log cabin are available. There are
many historically significant and intriguing
artifacts to be found inside the cabin. The
bookshelves are filled with books from Gene's
personal library, and the antique McCray icebox has just been packed with a new
block of "ice", giving the cabin the same look
and feel it would have had when the Porter's
lived there. |
|
125 acres of
beautiful Indiana wilderness surround the area
for your enjoyment. There are many interesting
and historic sites outdoors as well, including
this memorial in which Gene and her Daughter are
buried
