Site opens on April 1st and will run through December 1st. Cabin tours begin every hour on the hour. Open 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, Sundays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month for leisurely hikes exploring the 150 acres of GSP through the changing seasons. Hike topics might include trees, wildflowers, restoration and even rocks. Come prepared to explore and discover the details of the land that Gene so lovingly called Wildflower Woods. This event is rain or shine so please dress appropriately.

Join us to celebrate Gene Stratton-Porter’s birthday with Chautauqua Days! Festival activities include tasty food, birthday cake, live music and other entertainment. Guests can also watch artisans at work, get an up-close look at classic automobiles and browse hand-crafted items from local vendors. Families will find crafts and games as well. An afternoon filled with family fun, learning and more.

All Gene Stratton-Porter Memorial Society members and volunteers are invited to the 2013 Annual Meeting. Not a Society member yet? Attend this meeting to learn more and join! We'll gather in the GSP Carriage House for the election of officers, review of the 2013 season and a look forward. This year's meeting will take place at the conclusion of Chautauqua Days activities so plan to come early and attend the festivities before the meeting. Treats featuring herbs from Gene's garden will be served. Reservations are required for this meeting and donations are recommended for the food and beverage. Join DNR naturalist, Jody Heaston, as she takes guests into the amazing world of monarch butterflies. Learn how these beautiful insects survive, their life cycles and what plants you can use to attract them and other butterflies to your yard. This event will be broken into two sessions. “Amazing Monarchs” will be at 10 a.m. with a short break before “The Incredible Milkweed” session begins at 11:30 a.m. Admission includes both sessions.
